The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has planned in Atchison County for the week of October 31 through November 6. All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below.
Interstate 29 – Bridge replacement project over the Nishnabotna River (mile markers 122-124) through November. Traffic is head-to-head in the northbound lanes and a 15-foot width restriction is in place. (Contractor: Phillips Hardy, Inc.) U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing and shoulder improvement project from the Missouri River to I-29 through November 2023. (Contractor: Phillips Hardy, Inc.)
Route KK – Resurfacing project from Route J to the end of state maintenance, October 31 through November 3 (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)
I-29 – Permit work northbound from mile marker 100 to mile marker 102.8, October 31 through November 4
Route CC – Resurfacing project from U.S. Route 275 to the Iowa state line, November 1 and 2 (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)
Route Z – Resurfacing project from Route W to the end of state maintenance, November 3 and 4 (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)
