A lighted golden angel, put up by Beta Sigma Phi in memory of Dana Osburn, is on display in the Fairfax City Park and earned first place.

It was a beautiful night in Fairfax to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with the annual Light Night festivities. Miss Fairfax 2022 Kierra McDonald had the honor of turning the Christmas lights on at the Fairfax City Park.
Little Mr. and Miss Fairfax, Garrett Wintz and Lucy Heck, also added to the festivities by leading the group in a song.
Prizes and goodies were handed out to the youth in attendance.
Winners of the park’s lighting contest were announced. Display winners were: 1st, Angel in Memory of Dana Osburn; 2nd (tie), Simmons Service and Community Hospital-Fairfax; and 3rd, Christmas Tree in Memory of Robbie Alldredge. Business winners were: 1st, Fairfax Agency, and 2nd, Rays’ Dairy Diner.
The Fairfax Fire Department escorted Santa Claus to town and he visited with the children who gave them their wish lists. Santa bags were provided by Northwest Missouri Homeschool Co-op.
Prize gift sponsors were Beta Sigma Phi, Curtis and Jessica Vance, Fairfax Agency, First Church of God-Craig, Julie Koop, Kent and Barb Fisher, Kiwanis Club, Lisa and Tony Mitchell, Optimist Club, Randall and Tammy Sly, Suzanne and Roger Southard, Tonya and Blaine Maher, and Vickie White.
Display prize donors were Cheryl Chastain, Daybreak Cafe, KG Buds, and Maria Reed.
Games were organized by High Step TNT, and refreshments were provided by Fairfax Girl Scouts and The Cookie Cart by Amelia Larson.
