The Fairfax R-3 School Board met November 17, 2022. The following summary is from the superintendent’s update on the school website.
All bills were approved for payment.
The draft CSIP was reviewed with the board during a work session before the regular meeting. A copy can be found on the district website.
Dr. Burright reviewed the following:
Year-to-date expenses, $626,446; year-to-date revenues, $442,629; 2022-2023 reserve, $1,283,047; 2021-2022 reserve, $1,232,007.
Salary Grant Bonus Check: This payment for teachers and non-administration certified staff, was approved for payment with the December paycheck.
P3170 Purchases and Solicitation of Staff was changed to allow staff to aid in the solicitation of families for approved fund-raisers and school related activities. Any fliers sent home that involve sales or fundraisers have been approved by Mr. Barnes or Dr. Burright. Administration will be tracking which items have been approved.
The following payments were approved: Lou’s Sporting Goods, $2,137.30; Maryville Glass and Lock, $4,115.00; Northwest Technical School, $3,000; Hillyards Chemical, $1,550; Falls City Mercantile, $4,156.20; Renaissance Learning, $2,040; Midwest Data Center, $1,661.60; and First Student, $1,335.04.
Nancy Harrington was approved as a substitute teacher.
The next board meeting will be December 15, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
