The Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) board met January 11, 2023. Board members present were Lori Seymour, Roger Martin, Mary Ann Hull, Jeff Meyer, W.C. Farmer, and Craig Corken. Monica Bailey, director, was also present.

The December minutes were approved as amended.

The December financials were approved as presented.

Director’s Report

Monica Bailey met with Erin Dennis, ACDC’s new contact with the Department of Economic Development.

Business Improvement Grant applications will be accepted via mail only starting February 1 and will be considered in the order they are received.

Applications for the ACDC Scholarship for 2023 Atchison County graduates are due February 28.

Tarkio Tech scholarships are available to anyone who is pursuing a diploma or certificate program and intends to live in Atchison County. Applications are considered/awarded in the order they are received.

Great Northwest Day at the Capitol is February 7-8. Meetings have been scheduled with our new legislators, Rep. Farnan and Sen. Black.

Community lunches will be held around the county on Wednesdays in March.
