The Tarkio Parks & Recreation Board saw to the renovations of the Stevenson Park basketball court/park area next to the tennis courts at Maple and 10th streets in Tarkio. Board member Brooke Vette worked on the planning and Danny Beckman did the tear out and concrete work, not charging for the labor. Joshua Wright and his family purchased all the rebar and provided the use of his machine and the Tarkio Rotary Club purchased the concrete. This is another wonderful project where numerous people came together to provides a great sporting venue for our community. A sand volleyball court will also be added at this park.
