The Rock Port High School Concert Band earned a II (outstanding rating) Tuesday, April 4, at the State Large Ensemble Festival. They performed “Down on the Delta (A Mississippi Tribute)” and “The Billboard March.” Abby Palmer, teacher, said, “These guys have improved so much since the MSSBDA Festival a few weeks ago! They received straight outstanding ratings, even in the sight-reading room!” The band is pictured above with several supporters who made the trip to Platte City, including: Mr. Donnie Parsons, Richard A. Boettner, Rebekah Gebhards, Chris Gebhards, Zeke Gebhards, Mark Storm, Crystal Herron, Linda Herron, Clint Dougherty, Kristen Lucas, Jeremy Palmer, and Oscar Palmer.
