Fairfax R-3 students were honored at an Academic Awards Banquet April 26, 2023, at the school. Honorees were recognized for their academic achievements throughout the year. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Principal Dustin Barnes welcomed all and senior Braden Graves gave the invocation. A dinner was served by the classes of 2026 and 2027. Amelia Larson, accompanied by Suzanne Southard on the piano, played a flute solo. Mr. Barnes gave an address and then he and Counselor Marisa Hedlund presented awards to the following (* designates the student as a National Honor Society member):
