The Heartland Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association met its goal, plus some, for their annual Run for the Son. The group will be able to present a motorcycle to a pastor in their chapter’s name. The chapter appreciates the church congregations in the county and individuals, family, and friends who gave generously. The monies are used to spread the Gospel in the United States and around the world. The chapter is grateful for the community/county’s support in their fundraising efforts through the garage sales and the church visits.
The Heartland Riders are involved in community and county events. They participate in the Tarkio Rodeo Parade and Car/Bike Show, the Fairfax Fair, Old Fashioned Saturday Night in Rock Port, and Lord’s Acre in Westboro. At Christmas time, they put together food boxes for senior citizens in the county. As a chapter and as individuals, they serve in the community in other ways, too. They are glad to call Atchison County their home.
