The Brownville Fine Arts Association will host its annual Governor Furnas Arboretum program Saturday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. There is no admission charge.

Jill Lokke’s presentation focuses on insects and other “spineless” creatures one may encounter in the Arboretum or on the Whiskey Run Creek Trail. After the program, you are welcome to join in an outdoor exploration to see what can be found in the gardens. While some species are common and well known, others are less frequently encountered, but are important to know about because of their importance in the ecosystem or perhaps because they can be dangerous if handled.

The program will be held in the Schoolhouse Art Gallery, 427 Main Street, Brownville, Nebraska.
