This picture of the former Greenley’s Market/Jack & Jill/Darlindy Foods building was taken last fall.

Red Rock Demolition has made good progress taking down the old Greenley Market building with two-thirds of the building about down. The remaining part of the building they are doing more by hand in order to not damage the wall of American Family wall, which is a common wall between the two buildings.
In 2020, Restore Rock Port (RRP) identified a building on Main Street that was beyond repair and began discussing the possibility of tearing it down. The end goal was to clean up a dangerous situation on Main Street and provide a clean and prominent corner lot on which a business could construct a new building.
In December 2021, Restore Rock Port began raising funds required to demolish the old Greenley’s/Jack and Jill building at 301 S. Main Street.
On May 22, 2023, demolition began, and RRP is in active discussions with businesses that are interested in building on the lot.
While RRP has nearly met the original fundraising goals on this project, they need help in this final stretch to raise all funds needed for the demo. You can help!
