This demo will bring some changes as the new school year starts to get closer. During construction the parking lot that is located behind the school will be closed and no through traffic will be allowed. All student pick-up will be on the east side of the school on Nebraska Street.  The project is expected to take a year to complete so your patience will be greatly appreciated.

Demolition has begun on the interior of the dome at Rock Port R-II School. Currently, the interior of the building is being gutted and walls, cabinets, wiring, etc., are being removed. Once everything is cleared, the demolition on the exterior will start. That stage of demolition is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. You are welcome to come and watch from the playground area. A food truck will be present if anyone gets hungry.
