Patrick M. Casey, the son of James Patrick and Jackie (Palmer) Casey, was born January 11, 1953, in Wisner, Nebraska. Pat’s family moved to Rock Port, Missouri, while his dad helped build the new Interstate 29 highway. Pat graduated from Rock Port High School in 1971.

On July 30, 1971, Pat was united in marriage to Jennifer Burke at her parents’ home east of Rock Port. In April of 1972, they moved to Colorado, eventually becoming the parents of two sons, Travis Michael and Chad James. After retiring, they returned to Rock Port in 2016, where they lived to the present time.

Pat was a mechanic/welder, working construction and in the oil fields of Colorado. He also worked as a truck driver.

Pat was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 9, Colorado, and attended Rock Port Baptist Church in Rock Port. Pat loved spending time with his family, the mountains, four-wheeling and camping. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and snowmobiles, hunting, fishing, and was an avid snow skier in his teens. Pat passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 70 years.

Besides his father, James Casey, Pat was preceded in death by sons, Travis and Chad Casey, and brothers, Randy and Tim Casey. Survivors include wife, Jennifer Casey, Rock Port; mother, Jackie Casey, Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters-in-law, Dawn Casey, Montrose, Colorado, and Diana Casey, Rifle, Colorado; grandchildren, Alex (Garrett) Morris, Parachute, Colorado, Kolton (Ryan) Casey, Rifle, Colorado, and Aubrey Casey, North Platte, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Tate Casey and Grady Morris; brothers, Robert Casey, Greeley, Colorado, Tom (Teresa) Casey, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Joe (Brenda) Casey, Cadiz, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date in Battlement Mesa Cemetery, Parachute, Colorado. There is no visitation.
