The East Atchison Wolves hosted the North Andrew Cardinals for the first round of districts Friday, October 27, 2023, in Tarkio.
In the first half, Sammie Litherbury scored twice on the ground with a three yard touchdown and a 27 yard touchdown. This gave the Wolves a 12-0 lead over the Cardinals.
Cameron Brooks broke loose in the third quarter for a 60 yard run to make the score 18-0. The two point conversion attempt failed and the third quarter ended.
Blake Simmons was next to hit pay dirt for the Wolves with a 36 yard run. The two point conversion failed, making the score 24-0.
North Andrew answered back with a one yard touchdown run, bringing the score to 24-6. The two point conversion failed.
Linkin Murry scored the final touchdown for EA with a 38 yard run. The two point conversion, a pass from Simmons to Owen DeRosier, was good and the score was 32-6.
The Cardinals closed the scoring out with a 54 run. The two point conversion failed making the final score EA 32, North Andrew 12.
The Wolves will be back in district action Friday, November 3, 2023, in Burlington Junction, facing the Nodaway Valley Thunder at 7:00 p.m. for the semifinal round of Class 1 District 6 football.
