The Atchison County Commission met Thursday, February 15, 2024. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed and approved for payment.
Monthly department reports were reviewed and approved by the commission.
Emergency Management Director Rhonda Wiley was in to discuss department matters.
A liquor license application from R&M Schoonies for Sunday Liquor by the Drink was reviewed. The commissioners voted to approve the application.
The commission met with Prosecuting Attorney Dan Smith to discuss how to move forward with establishing either a right-of-way agreement or easement with the Martins and Minters for a section of 260th Street that is referenced in the minutes dated February 1, 2024. Attorney Smith said he would like to review the matter and would get back to the commission with his recommendation.
There being no further business, the commission adjourned.
