March is Social Work Month and Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care is celebrating and thanking social work professionals for all the compassion, care, and comfort they provide to patients and families every day!.

Tarkio Rehab’s Teresa Farber is has lived in Tarkio since 2006, after moving from Omaha, Nebraska, where she ran a licensed daycare out of her home. She was employed at First Data Resources for 10 years prior to that.

Teresa has worked for Tarkio Rehab since September of 2009, starting in housekeeping and moving to the Social Services and Activities Director in December of 2012. Teresa handles the transportation scheduling, ad-missions and assists in marketing. Teresa has been involved in the community as well, serving on the Tarkio Park Board for approximately three years.

“Teresa is always going above and beyond. She is very pleasant and easy to work with,” commented Jill Kingery, R.N., BSN, Utilization Review Nurse Manager/Swing Bed Coordinator at Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri.

Afton Hannah, Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care Administrator remarked, “Teresa is an asset to our team. She is often the first person that we go to with any pressing issue. I can’t imagine doing this job without her.”
