East Atchison Youth Wrestling Club held a tournament Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Tarkio Activity Center. Hy-Vee ran the concession stand and several sponsors and volunteers helped make the event a huge success. If you helped for five minutes or all day it did not go unnoticed, and is appreciated beyond words.
The wrestlers put in a lot of hard work and did an incredible job with some tough competition.
EA results follow: first place – Emmett Reeves, Jackson Zumbrunnen, Jack Clement, Tucker Wheeler, and Winston Hogue; second place – Kash Wheeler, Bennett Peregrine, Saige Dorrel, Titus Wright, and Jasper Navin; third place – Crew Martin, Nash Stevens, and Eli Rogers; and fourth place – Waylon Blackman, Elizabeth Lundy, Tiberius Baruth, Brady Richards, Saige Dorrel, and Quad Klosek.
Results for the Rock Port wrestlers are: first place – Hayes Martin, Piper VanSickle, and Kamden Schulte; second place – Triptyn Smith, Cane Stanton, Drey Parsons, Ivy Daugherty, Cass Stanton, and Frank Kroeger; third place – Oaklee Smith, Collin Stanton, Taelyn Sloop, Maxon Graves, Cole Alexander, Ryker Driskell, Mason Gubser, and Judah Allen; and fourth place – Laine Goins, Case Larson, and Grayson Wood.
