Uldeen M. Cooper, the daughter of Ira Merle and Mary Emma (Green) Underwood, was born September 8, 1926, in Langdon, Missouri. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1945.

On December 6, 1945, Uldeen was united in marriage to Harry Lee Cooper in Atchison, Kansas. They became the parents of three children, Gloria Jo, Shiela Lynn, and Marvin Alan. Harry Lee passed away in May of 2023.

Uldeen was a homemaker, caring for her children. Shortly after marriage, she would ride the Langdon train down to St. Joseph, Missouri, to help with bookwork for Montgomery Wards. She was a true farm wife, helping with anything from hauling corn to the corn crib, feeding the livestock, assisting in all farm repairs, and keeping the farm books.

She also served as an Election Judge for numerous years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church LCW, Rock Port, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Hunter Cemetery Ladies. Uldeen was also a member of Ralph Greer American Legion Auxiliary for 75 years. Uldeen passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home in Rock Port, at the age of 97.

Besides her parents and husband, Harry Lee Cooper, Uldeen was preceded in death by grandchildren, Christopher and Angela; and siblings, Opal Janes and Olin Underwood. Survivors include children, Gloria Jo (David) Graves, Fairfax, Missouri, Shiela (Aaron) Erdley, Robinson, Kansas, and Marvin Alan (fiancée, Beverly Longcor) Cooper, Rock Port; grandchildren, Lonnie, Chad, Brad, Clarence, Mike, and Aric; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Umlend, Manning, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at First Lutheran Church, Rock Port, conducted by Pastor Devon Sons. Inurnment was at Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port. Memorials may be directed to Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, or Rock Port First Responders. Arrangements were under the direction of Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
