Community Hospital Auxiliary met Thursday, May 16, at Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri. President Amy Sefrit conducted the meeting.
The state auxiliary project is awareness of diabetes. Denise Sanders, MS, RD, LD, Director of Nutritional Services at Community Hospital-Fairfax, gave a most informative program about diabetes. Denise does counseling with patients and clients on this subject’s concerns.
Amy Alexander, R.N., Director of the OB Department, and Michelle Bollinger, R.N., presented a request for the auxiliary to help in purchasing HALO SleepSacks (swaddlers) for newborns at Community Hospital-Fairfax. The auxiliary was excited to help with this project.
The scholarship committee reminded members of the Auxiliary scholarships and the 50/50 raffle to raise additional funds for the scholarships to be selected July 10, 2024. Tickets are available in the gift shop.
The meeting concluded with the members making patient tray favors under the direction of Janette Stanton and Tina Stout.
