
Gary Schmucker of Brock, Nebraska, has seen to the restoration efforts of this 1931 Pierce Arrow limousine, which he purchased from a collector. After 18 years of toil to restore it to its original glory, this classic is now worth a million dollars, and was named Best of Show at the Doug Summa Memorial Car Show.

Aaron McAdams of Shenandoah, Iowa, formerly of Tarkio, Missouri, entered his 1933 Ford in the Doug Summa Memorial Car Show.

Kenny Krull of Shenandoah, Iowa, entered a 1958 Case 700 tractor which received a Special Interest Award.

What was found and deemed junk has been turned into works of art by their owners. Around 60 classic cars, trucks, a semi, motorcycles, souped up mowers, and a tractor lined the drive along Doug Summa Memorial Park in Tarkio for the annual Doug Summa Memorial Car Show Saturday, June 8, 2024. The event is sponsored by the Slo-Rollers Car Club and Tarkio Chamber of Commerce.

The University of Missouri Extension Office of Atchison County barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs for the hungry patrons at the Doug Summa Memorial Car Show in Tarkio Saturday morning.
A total of 49 classics were entered (and 59 total were on display) in the Doug Summa Memorial Car Show held Saturday, June 8, 2024. Sponsored by the Slo-Rollers car club and Tarkio Chamber of Commerce, the event was moved this year from Niedermeyer Park to the Doug Summa Memorial Park in Tarkio, Missouri. Total money collected was $354, with half going to the Tarkio Nutrition Center and the other half going to a lucky winner.
