With the fall hunting seasons upon us, I wanted to take some time to clarify some things.

1) Fall deer and turkey permits have been separated this year.

2) Archery antlerless deer permits can only be used on private property in Atchison County.

3) Firearm deer season begins Saturday, November 16.

4) Atchison County is closed to early and late firearm antlerless seasons. Antlerless permits are not allowed in Atchison County, unless you are a qualified landowner.

5) Most important of all, be safe this fall.
