Donna Carol (Naico) Roop, daughter of Harry Conrad and Lois Mabel (Swalley) Naico, was born December 16, 1944, in Essex, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2025, in Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 80 years old.

She spent her early life growing up in Essex, Iowa, and graduated from Essex High School. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Bruce Smith and was blessed with son, Jason Miles Smith. In 1967, Donna was married to William Pitt and to this union were born two daughters, Carrie and Derriann. Donna remarried on April 26, 1997, to John Roop in Rock Port, Missouri, and the couple resided in Fairfax.

Over the years, Donna spent time working for Earl May Garden Center in Shenandoah, Mangelsen’s, the Dairy Diner in Fairfax, and being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing and quilting. She was also a member of the quilting club.

Preceding Donna in death were her husband, John Roop in 2015; mother and father, Lois and Harry Naico; brothers, Donald Naico, Joe Naico, Jim Naico, Jerry Naico, and Robert Naico; and sisters, Marilyn Naico, Kay Green, and Isabella Nelson. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jason (Arden) Smith, Carrie (Mike) Winter, and Derriann (Dick) Richards; grandchildren, Jack Feuchtinger, Alex Smith, Nicole McCollough (Jesse), Nathen Winter, Jacob (Sara) Nelson, Sydney (Connie) Richards, Audrey (Zak) Romero, and Jetta (Dylan) Jeffords; great-grandchildren, Sofia Nelson, Jacob Nelson, and Isla Jeffords; brother, Kenneth Naico; the Pitt family; and all of her step/half and extended family that she loved deeply.
