
Eva Mae Murry, the daughter of Richard and Harrietta Marie (Barnum) Loucke, was born July 6, 1946, in Morning Sun, Iowa. Eva Mae attended Logan High School, Logan, Iowa, graduating in 1964. She attended Tarkio College, Tarkio, Missouri, for two years then attended beauty school in Sioux City, Iowa.
Eva Mae became the mother of three children, Diane, Robert, and Cookie. In 1985, Eva Mae was united in marriage to Ronald Murry in Tarkio and became stepmother to James, Kimberly, and Ronnie Dean. Ron passed away on November 14, 2022.
Eva Mae was employed as a housekeeper at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri, for 15 years, where she later retired.
Eva Mae enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva Mae passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 78.
Besides her parents and husband, Ron Murry, Eva Mae was preceded in death by grandson, Devin Schebaum; brothers, David and Donny Nicholson; and stepfather, Harvey Nicholson. Survivors include children, Diane (Kevin) Bennett, Robert Nelson, and Cookie (Delmar) Schebaum, all of Tarkio; step-children, James (Amy) Murry, Savannah, Missouri, Kimberly (Jeff) Wallace, Fairfax, Missouri, and Ronnie Dean (Kellie) Murry, Tarkio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, James Loucke, Clearmont, Missouri, Charles Elton (Jeannie) Nicholson, Norfolk, Nebraska, and Frank Nicholson, Braddyville, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott. Open visitation began Tuesday, March 25, at Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will be at Home Cemetery,Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to the Eva Mae Murry Memorial Fund.
