The University of Central Missouri (UCM) athletic department inducted 10 individuals and two teams into the UCM Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The ceremony took place inside the Elliot Student Union Ballroom on the UCM campus in Warrensburg, Missouri. The 10 individuals consisted of seven former student athletes and three special recognition individuals.

Steven Edwards of Mound City, Missouri, Mules’ Track and Field 2002-2006, was one of the seven individuals. Edwards was a 2006 national champion in the discus. He was also a five-time All-American, earning honors in the 2005 hammer throw and indoor weight as well as 2006 discus, hammer and indoor weight. He has the fourth all-time farthest throw at UCM in the discus, he is tied for seventh in the indoor shot put and 10th all-time at UCM in the indoor weight throw and hammer throw.

Also attending the ceremony were Steven’s wife, Carly, and their two sons, Jaxon and Ryan; his mother, Dana (Heits) Scarbrough, and her husband, Marc; and Debbie and Steve Loucks.
