The pocket schedules for Rock Port and East Atchison spring sports are now available at local businesses. These free schedules include track, baseball, and boys’ golf events for junior high and high school.

The Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary is now accepting good quality, used items for the spring rummage sale. Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. through Thursday, April 10, at the Tarkio Legion Building, located at 201 N. 3rd Street.

The Fairfax High School Band performance scheduled for last Sunday was postponed to this Thursday, April 3, at 8:30 a.m. in the Fairfax High School gym. The musicians will be playing songs they plan to perform in Branson, Missouri, this month.

The Ralph Greer American Legion will hold a pancake feed from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at the Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port. Free-will donations will be accepted.

The Tarkio Rotary Club is hosting a BBQ every Saturday in April and May (weather permitting) at Hy-Vee in Tarkio. Stop by from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to enjoy grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, and steak sandwiches.

The Fairfax Kiwanis and Optimist Clubs’ Election Day Pancake Feed will be held Tuesday, April 8, at the Community Room at the Fairfax Fire Station. Stop by for lunch (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) or dinner (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.) and enjoy pancakes, ham, hot chocolate, and coffee. Free will donations will be accepted.
