The Watson Quilters met Thursday night with Teresa and Jim Hickok, Anita Armstrong, Linda Viets, Tammy Oakes, and Kay Gibson attending. We finished up the quilt for Hamburg’s Home Town Pride, and helped Linda tie a cancer quilt she is making for a friend. Our box of baby quilts was received by a lady whose church will pass them out. This town, Vidor, Texas, was very hard hit by the hurricane. They received 53 inches of rain. People are sleeping in tents, on floors, and are still in need of supplies. We are working on some older kids’ quilts now to send down there.
FACIAL, ANYONE?
Honest, I heard this on the news: “People are standing in line to get facials made from bird poop.” All I can say is, “I sure hope those birds don’t have the bird flu.”
