The Rock Port High School Girls’ Track Team was all smiles as they lined up for their trophy presentation at the State Track Meet.

Ella Meyerkorth took second place in the 100 meter hurdles at State with a time of 15.25 while Lizzie Schlueter finished in fourth with a 15.33 second run.

Rock Port’s Ella Meyerkorth won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.83 while East Atchison’s Lizzie Schlueter ran a 46.42 to place fourth.

 

Rock Port took home two podium finishes in the girls’ 800 meter run with Avery Meyerkorth running a 2:22.67 to place third and Braylyn Wood finishing in fifth with a 2:25.10.

 

Camden McEnaney, Case Millsap, Dylan Lair, and Corbyn Jakub ran a 44.62 second relay to earn their third place finish in the 4×100 meter relay.

Both Gabe Gebhards and Ryder Herron placed in the discus at State for Rock Port. Gabe finished in third with a throw of 44.66 meters (146’6”), and Ryder threw 44.43 meters (145’9”) to place fifth.

 

Rock Port freshman Audrie Meyerkorth finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with a 1:00.84.

 

Norah Watkins medaled in two individual events at State, running a 12:18.62 3200 meter to earn fourth and placing seventh in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:39.58.

Ella Meyerkorth finished in fifth place in the javelin at State with a throw of 33.48 meters (109’10”). Ella also placed fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.59 meters (5’2.5”).

 

Ryder Herron took home fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 14.64 meters (48’.5”).

The MSHSAA Class 1 State Track and Field Championship was held May 23 and 24, 2025, in Jefferson City, Missouri. The Rock Port Lady Jays claimed the state title for the second consecutive year, scoring 64 points.
