The Missouri Freedom Quilters presented Kenneth Greenley with a Quilt of Valor Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Rock Port United Methodist Church. Kenneth served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969. He was stationed in Danang in South Vietnam in 1966 and on the U.S.S. Independence CV-62 from 1967 to 1969.

The Missouri Freedom Quilters have now made over 150 Quilts of Valor for local veterans. These quilts are registered to Quilts of Valor with the recipient’s name. The group operates solely on donations to their project. They have been able to do this through the generous donations of businesses and individuals in and around our community. If you know of a local veteran who has not yet received a Quilt of Valor, call Sharon Groff at 660-744-2544 or Jean Mensen at 660-744-2085.
