A ribbon cutting will be held at You With A New View in the Boundless Grace building, 402 Main Street in Tarkio, Tuesday, September 9, at 5:00 p.m. An open house will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be refreshments, giveaways, and tours.

The Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) invites you to attend the 2025 annual meeting on Wednesday, September 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Velma Houts Building in Rock Port. A complimentary dinner, catered by Groovy’s Grub (along with cupcakes by Among 3 Measures-Melissa Heintz) will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by the annual celebration of Atchison County’s pride points. In addition to recognition of business ventures and an ACDC update, you will hear from Atchison County graduates who chose to build their futures here.

The Liberty Theatre, in conjunction with the Rock Port Tourism Board, will hold Todd Oliver’s Funniest Night Of Your Life at the theatre Saturday, September 13, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 14, at 2:30 p.m. Liberty Theatre is located inside the Atchison County Memorial Building on Main Street in Rock Port. Tickets are $20 for adults (children under 12 are free) and $30 for VIP tickets.

The Westboro Methodist Church, located at 302 1st Street in Westboro, Missouri, will present acclaimed guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Jason Riley in a special benefit concert Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. Admission is free-will donation with all proceeds going toward the children’s playground fund.

The next Second Harvest mobile food pantry in Atchison County will be Monday, September 15, at Rock Port High School, 600 S. Nebraska Street in Rock Port, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Vehicles should drive east on Calhoun Street along the north side of the school. Supplies are limited, but the food is free to the public. There are no income guidelines.
