Members and guests of the Atchison County Farm Bureau met for the annual meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Farm Bureau Building in Rock Port, Missouri. The evening started with a casual dinner of pizza and ice cream while guests were invited to tour the new offices prior. Shortly after, members participated in a brief business meeting to approve annual financial reports and the appointment of officers and board members, and to vote on policy resolutions to forward on to the upcoming state annual meeting in December.

Kayden Guymon, Director of Regulatory Affairs & Policy Council for the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation, was the speaker. Kayden shared thoughts regarding agricultural provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in addition to highlighting Missouri Farm Bureau’s upcoming Health Plans, which were part of an approved bill recently signed by Governor Kehoe. He briefly discussed the Missouri Parks, Soils and Water Tax and The MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) commission report, noting that Farm Bureau is following these items closely to see what impacts they may have on members and Farm Bureau policy. He also noted that his staff is awaiting revised guidance regarding WOTUS (Waters of the United States).
