Fellowship, food, and fun on Main Street

Tarkio’s Main Street was full of people enjoying the Tarkio Parks & Recreation Friendship Day celebration Saturday evening, September 27, 2025. There was fun to be had with bounce houses, games, slides, face painting, horse rides, and chalk drawing, as well as delicous food and drinks. Several vendors also set up, selling their wares, and some businesses on Main were open to attendees.

Color Run 5K

The Tarkio Parks & Rec held a Friendship Day Color Run 5K Saturday morning, September 27, 2025, in Tarkio. At certain points throughout the route, the runners received a dash of color to “brighten up” their day. Pictured above are Alanna Slemp and Kelsey Price getting some color from Dian Ohrt. It was a warm fall day, but with a breeze that not only cooled the walkers down, but also helped spread the color. Pictured below are all the participants, as well as some of the helpers, including first place winners Willow Wright and Leevi Driskell holding their certificates.

Friendship Flowers

Jaxson Wiley and Emily Drum-mond stopped by the Flower Mill in Tarkio on Friday morning, September 26, 2025, to get their free flowers for Friendship Day. The Flower Mill and Tarkio Parks & Recreation joined together to help Tarkio residents and the surrounding community celebrate their friends by receiving free flowers and then giving them to those important people in their lives.
