Rock Port continues to keep their momentum going as they traveled to DeKalb, Missouri, to take on the DeKalb Tigers Friday, October 3.

The game was over within the first six minutes as the Jays put up 40 points with touchdowns by Brock Holmes on the first offensive play. Tayden Cook intercepted the ball and took it 10 yards for a touchdown. Jack Meyerkorth got in on the action with three touchdowns off of a punt return, followed by a 40 yard run from handoff from Westyn Amthor and a quick pass for 20 yards.

To start the second quarter Quentin Jackson, from his defensive lineman position, scooped up a fumble and took it back to the house for 6 points. The final two scores came from Jack Meyerkorth with his second punt return and Case Millsap on a 5 yard dive.

The Jays put up 70 points to the Tigers’ 6 and the game was called at halftime.

Rock Port will be at home on Friday night to take on the South Holt Knights for homecoming. The game begins at 7:00 p.m.
