The Rock Port Lady Blue Jays’ volleyball team won the Class 1 District 16 Championship Saturday, October 25, 2025, with a win over Mound City at Mound City High School. The Rock Port Blue Jays’ volleyball team began District 16 action as the number 2 seed, playing North Nodaway on Tuesday, October 21, and defeating them in three sets. Next, the Lady Jays played Nodaway Valley on October 23, beating them in three as well and setting the stage for a match-up against the number one seed Mound City Panthers on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The Panthers got off to an early lead, winning the first two sets 25-18. Following a quick trip to the locker room, Coach Stephanie Parsons reset the girls, and the Jays came out to win the next three sets 25-15, 25-18, and 15-7, clinching the District 16 championship and advancing to Sectionals.

The Lady Blue Jays will be on the road Thursday, October 30, to face the Northland Christian Trailblazers at 6:30 p.m.
