Lois Diane (Taylor) Boynton was born on March 11, 1953, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Robert and Mary (Haun) Taylor. She was one of six siblings whom she loved dearly. To her family, Diane was known as the tough and fiercely protective one, always wearing a smile and standing strong for those she loved.
Diane passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, at the age of 72.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Harold Boynton. Diane and Harold met while in Germany and later made their home in Sylvester, Georgia, where they built a beautiful life together and raised their family. Together, they welcomed three children: two daughters, Rachel and Mary, and one son, Robert. Diane loved her children and grandchildren with every ounce of her heart. Her devotion to her family was unmatched and her greatest joy came from being surrounded by them.
Diane had a deep love for arts and crafts and found happiness in creating things with her hands, often sharing that joy with those around her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her firstborn daughter, Rachel (Jesse) Cansler; her only son, Robert (Shannon) Boynton; and her baby girl, Mary (Jonathan) Exum. She was a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Lakyn Boynton, Bonnie Exum, Gage Boynton, Taylor Exum, Tristan Boynton, and Georgia Exum. She was also blessed to hold her first great-grandchild, Ivrie Lynn Boynton, a moment that brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Phyllis (Ray) Carney, Barb Taylor, Tim (Susette) Taylor, Cathey (Mark) Kling, and Rose (Al) Goodwin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane will be remembered for her strength, her protective heart, her creativity, and the deep love she poured into her family. Her legacy lives on through all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
