Pastor Brad Dush presented the program at the Fairfax Kiwanis Club meeting on January 20. His presentation focused on his recent trip to Harare, Zimbabwe.

Pastor Dush serves as pastor of Fairfax Methodist Church, a congregation of the Global Methodist Church. He was invited by the Heartland Conference to represent the conference at the first session of the Zimbabwe Annual Conference.

During the trip, Pastor Dush had the opportunity to teach on Scriptural Holiness and to serve as an electoral official for the General Conference delegate elections. He shared several photographs with Kiwanis members that highlighted notable experiences from the journey, including the conference venue at the Rare Gold Resort. He explained that the resort serves as a model of sustainability by producing much of its own food, including fruits, vegetables, and meats, on site. He also remarked on the notable, visible poverty he observed. His final opportunity before returning home was preaching a Sunday morning service at the Borrowdale Global Methodist Church.

Pastor Dush noted that while the experience was deeply meaningful, the most challenging part of the trip was the long transatlantic flight to and from Zimbabwe.
