Ryder Herron is the District 4 285 pound champion. Ryder was undefeated at districts. 

 

Jax Peregrine finished in fourth place in the 215 pound division and will advance to the State Tournament February 25.

 

Rock Port and East Atchison wrestlers competed in the MSHSAA Boys Class 1 District 4  Wrestling Tournament Friday and Saturday, February 20 and 21, 2026, in Kearney, Missouri.

State qualifiers are Rock Port senior Ryder Herron and East Atchison’s Jax Peregrine, a sophomore at Tarkio High School. Ryder won the 285 pound division for the second consecutive year and Jax placed fourth in the 215 pound division. They will advance to the MSHSAA Boys Class 1 Tournament February 25 and 26 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.

Levi Lucas, wrestling at 126 pounds, works to get Vincent Smithson of Stanberry broken down. Levi would lose in a tech fall 18-2.

Aidan Smyser wrestled Eli Meadows of East Buchanan in the consolation match. Aidan would get the pin at the 2:05 mark.

 

Desmond Chaney pulls the head of Mason Pirtle of West Platte to get the pin in the second round of the consolation round of the wrestle backs.

 

Chance Hayes works to get out of a headlock in the quarterfinal match with Kaydan Turner of Cameron.

 

Blaise Krogen digs his chin into the shoulder of Hunter Mumm of Plattsburg. Blaise got the pin at the 2:38 mark of the match.
