The Fairfax Kiwanis Club hosted its annual Corn Yield Contest for 2025 for the Fairfax FFA Chapter. The Corn Yield Contest began in 1947 and has stayed active all the years since then. This year’s winners were: first place, Knox Oswald, son of Marshal and Michelle Oswald (282.20 bushels per acre); and second place, Tate Johnson, son of Brett Johnson and Ashley Grossman (231.73 bushels per acre). They were the only two who entered the contest this year. Each of the students received an engraved picture plaque and photos during the luncheon meeting. Families attending along with their FFA advisor, Ethan Riley, and Kiwanis members were Marshall Oswald, Ashley Grossman, and Debbie and Gary Johnson.
