Ella Meyerkorth set a new Blue Jay Relays record in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.58 seconds. Stevie Gaines came in third with a time of 18.90.

 

Josh Schlueter clears the last hurdle in the 110 Meter Hurdles to take first place in a time of 17.08.

Lady Blue Jay Norah Watkins won the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:48.81 and the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 13:02.96.

 

Blue Jay Blaise Krogen won the Long Jump with a distance of 5.59m.

 

Braylyn Wood (RP) gets a good start in the 800 Meter Run with Taya Windham (EA) on the outside. Braylyn placed first with a time of 3:31.67 and Taya came in second with a time of 2:37.77.

 

Rock Port’s Justin Kuhns hands off to Case Millsap in the first exchange of the 4×100 Meter Relay and East Atchison’s Gavyn Irvine hands off to Deyton Burke. Rock Port took first place with a time of 46.13 and East Atchison placed third with a time of 47.37.

Elliott Walker finished with a height of 3.06 meters in the Pole Vault to place second.

 

Rock Port’s Landrey Kelly placed 2nd in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.60m.

 

East Atchison relay runners Makenna Caudill, back, and Brilee Slemp, front, helped the Lady Wolves place 4th in the 4×100, 3rd in the 4×200, 3rd in the 4×400, and 1st in the 4×800 Meter Relays.

 

Ryder Herron has a good spin and places second in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.93 meters.

 

Raylynn Jenkins has a throw of 31.20 meters to place third in the Discus.

 

EA’s Danni Irvine placed 3rd in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.59m.

 

Azlynn Wiley placed fifth in the Long Jump at Blue Jay Relays with a jump of 4.32 meters.

 

Anna Weber, with her coach Angela Mace, and with the support of her team, finished the 3200 Meter Run to place 6th.

Six new records were set at this year’s meet.

Rock Port senior Ella Meyerkorth set three meet records. She ran a 15.58 in the 100 Meter Hurdles, breaking the record of 15.65 set by Anne Northrup, Holt County, in 1992. Ella also set a new record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 45.28, beating her own record of 45.86 set in 2025. Ella won the javelin event with a throw of 40.76 meters, breaking the record of 40.1 meters set by Tommi Martin, East Atchison, in 2024.

The St. Joseph Christian girls set a new record in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 51.49. The previous record of 51.6 was set by a relay team from Winnetonka in 2013.

Bruce Otto of Platte Valley set a new record in the javelin with a throw of 44.32 meters (145’4.882”), beating the record of 142’9” set by Gage Rush of Stewartsville in 2018.

Creyton Roup of Mound City ran a 50.96 in the 400 meter dash, beating the record of 51.17 set by Clint Gayler, Rock Port, in 1996.

Rock Port senior Ella Meyerkorth scored 40 points and won the Milton Reid Award for the third consecutive year.
