Alice Irene (Scott) Wilkinson, the daughter of Ira O. and Ethie M. (Mincks) Herrold, was born March 7, 1925, in Bradshaw, Nebraska. She attended and graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora, Nebraska.

On December 5, 1945, Alice was united in marriage to Eugene Francis “Scotty” Scott in Smith Center, Kansas. They became the parents of four children, Sandra Jean, Ronald Lee, Jeffrey Lynn, and Timothy Wayne. Scotty passed away in June of 1991. On October 17, 1991, Alice was united in marriage to Clarence Arthur Wilkinson and became stepmother to John. Clarence passed away in February of 1993.

Alice was employed as a telephone operator for Rock Port Telephone Company, Rock Port, Missouri. She then owned and operated Scotty’s Liquor Store, before being employed by Tarkio College, Tarkio, Missouri, as a mail clerk. Alice moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and was employed as a clerk for Walgreens, retiring at the age of 82.

While in Arizona, Alice enjoyed shopping and doing water aerobics. She also loved walking her dog, Annie, and spending time with her family, and attending cookouts with hot dogs and vanilla ice cream, which were her favorites. Alice passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 101.

Besides her parents and husbands, Eugene “Scotty” Scott and Clarence Wilkinson, Alice was preceded in death by sons, Ronald Lee and Jeffrey Lynn Scott; siblings, Kenneth (Marceina) Herrold, Irvin (Delavon) Herrold, and Barbara (Robert) Schafer. Survivors include children, Sandra (Richard) Zach, Rock Port, and Timothy (Nancy) Scott, Lyman, Maine; stepson, John (Lavonne) Wilkinson, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private family celebration of life and inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Elmwood Cemetery, Rock Port, or Pleasant View Staff Fund.
