The sixth and seventh grade bands combined forces during the Rock Port Spring Band and Choir Concert on May 7.

The Rock Port Music Department held its spring concert Thursday, May 7, 2026. Mrs. Abby Palmer is the director and Richard Boettner was accompanist.
The sixth grade intermediate band performed “Manhattan Beach March,” “Theme from Symphony No. 9,” and “Riverside March.” Members of the sixth grade intermediate band are: Ryker Gibson and Collin Frix, alto saxophone; Frank Kroeger, Mason Gubser, and Greyson Sperber, trombones; and Grant Unruh and Austin Alexander, percussion.

The seventh grade band performed “Cheeseburger Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Journey to the Past,” and “Abandoned Treasure Hunt.” Members of the seventh grade band are: Caisyn Hall and Joci Culp, flutes; Nella Steuter and Taylor Cook, clarinets; Mason Hale, alto saxophone; Isaac Dougherty and Locke Chaney, trumpets; Lane Seeley and Jack Bailey, trombones; Elaina Kroeger, baritone; and Anthony Masonbrink, Alex Gibson, Maya Clodfelter, and Deveni Barth, percussion.

The high school band performed “Rippling Watercolors” and “March of the Barbarians.”
Members of the high school band are: Mya Welch, flute; Audrey Dougherty and Maddie Wilroy, clarinets; Leo Grimes, bass clarinet; Cooper Daugherty, alto saxophone; Brandon Athen and Isa Kroeger, trumpets; Aniyah Williams and Ira Cantu, trombones; Wyatt Huntley, baritone; Levi Lucas, tuba; Eliza Mason, Amelia Mason, Kennedi Seiter, Stella VanGundy, Jolie Steuter, and Jaxson Hale, percussion; and Sophie Storm and Claire Miller, mallets.
The high school concert choir sang “Actus,” “Come In From the Firefly Darkness,” and “Songs For the People.” Members of the high school chorus are: Lexi Stanton, Audrey Dougherty, Kennedi Seiter, Stella VanGundy, Aniyah Williams, and Nella Steuter sopranos; Claire Miller, Isa Kroeger, Kinleigh Daugherty, Eliza Mason, Amelia Mason, and Elaina Kroeger, altos; and Lily Wilroy, Leo Grimes, Cooper Daugherty, Isaac Dougherty, Lane Seeley, and Jack Bailey, baritone.
The high school jazz band performed “Loosen Up” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo.”

The combined seventh through 12th grade bands performed “The Great Rubber Chicken Galop.” They also gave a fall show sneak peak by performing “Counting Stars – We Are Young – Shape of You/Castle On a Hill.”
