The Atchison County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with the assistance of the Northwest Missouri Drug Strike Force, executed a search warrant January 14, 2026, in Westboro, Missouri. A warrant was issued for Frank Kephart for charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony. A bond was issued at $15,000.

UPDATE

Further investigation by federal agencies was requested by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office. This investigation resulted in a warrant being issued by the United States District Court on multiple federal charges for Mr. Kephart. Charges included: Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Firearms in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The United States Marshals Service and U.S. Marshals Service Task Force Officers, along with the Buchanan County Career Criminal Unit and Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies took Mr. Kephart into custody pursuant to this warrant on July 21, 2026.
