If you have waded into the world of investment and been swept off by the undertow of doubt and confusion, you may want to join Blake Hurst at Tarkio Tech for a four-session continuing education class entitled “Beginning Investing.” The class is scheduled to meet on August 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Curnutt Center at Thompson Library on the Tarkio College campus. The Tarkio Parks & Recreation board is hosting its first ever triathlon event in Tarkio. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, competitors will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Tarkio Municipal Pool. The event will include swimming .47 miles at the pool, then biking 12.4 miles south of town and then back, and running 3.1 miles east of town out by the airport and back.
