The unofficial results for the August 4, 2026, Primary Election in Atchison County are in.

Out of 3,750 registered voters in the county, 1,132 ballots were cast. A further breakdown of each polling location is as follows: Rock Port, 356; Tarkio, 337; Fairfax, 250; Westboro, 78; and Absentee, 111.

The following votes were cast in Atchison County and certified by Susette Taylor, Atchison County Clerk and Election Authority:

Nonpartisan

There were four Constitutional Amendments on the ballot.

Amendment No. 1: Yes, 921; No, 192. This amendment renewed the existing sales and use tax of 0.1% for 10 years to fund state parks and soil and water conservation programs.

Amendment No. 2: Yes, 883; No, 203. With the yes vote on Amendment No. 2, the Jackson County Assessor will now be an elected position by removing the constitutional exemption that currently allows the county to appoint the assessor.

Amendment No. 4: Yes, 308; No, 811. The no on this amendment prevented amending the Missouri Constitution to require voter approval of citizen-initiated constitutional amendments in each congressional district, rather than statewide, among other changes.

Amendment No. 5: Yes, 204; No, 915. A no on Amendment No. 5 stopped the reduction of the state individual income tax, based on revenue growth, until the tax is eliminated, among other changes to taxation in the state.
