Registration for Fairfax R-3 Elementary, Junior High, and High School will be Wednesday, August 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the school library.

Liles Enterprises, LLC, will host a drainage tile demonstration field day beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at 14814 U.S. Hwy. 59 in Craig, Missouri. There will be a live installation demo, tile drainage tips and info, vendors, and a free lunch.

Atchison County Health Department and Community Hospital-Fairfax are hosting a Locally Grown Community Baby Shower Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the hospital in Fairfax, Missouri. This event is for all expecting parents and new parents with babies and children. Education, prizes, and snacks will be provided.

Head on over to the Fairfax Branch of the Atchison County Library in Fairfax, Missouri, Thursday, August 13. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., enjoy making your own secret book compartment and discuss the book with others.

The Fairfax Library will be set up on Friday, August 14, at the Fairfax Farmers Market on Main Street in Fairfax, Missouri. From 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, outside the library you will find $1 movies, 25¢ books, and free magazines. The Farmers Market will include a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, desserts, and homemade items.

Registration for grades K-12 at Rock Port R-II Schools will be Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18. All elementary students grades K-5 will need to register in the school cafeteria on Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Parents will need to fill out registration forms, health and lunch forms, and sign up for bus routes. Juniors and seniors will register Monday, August 17, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and freshmen and sophomores will register from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Students going into sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will register Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Students and families new to the district will register Tuesday, August 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Forms are available for download on the school website at www.rockport.k12.mo.us.
