Tarkio R-I holds Back-To-School Night

Tarkio elementary, junior high, and high school students attended the Tarkio R-I Back-To-School Night Thursday, August 20, 2026. The students, including kindergartners Turner Heits, pictured above with his grandmother, Kerri Ohrt were able to visit their classrooms and meet their teachers, including Gracie Hopkins, right.

This was also the first opportunity the public was able to view the renovations of the elementary school received this past summer, including new windows.

Meet the Teacher Night at Rock Port R-II School

The Rock Port R-II School District held Meet the Teacher Night Friday, August 21. The Morgan family makes their way into the school to meet this year’s classroom teachers.

Making tracks

Rock Port Booster Club painted bird tracks from the school to stadium. This was .4 miles or approximately 1,800 feet of tracks. Great job!
