Angus heifer

Raylynn Jenkins, a Rock Port FFA member, showed her Angus heifer at the Missouri State Fair. She placed fourth.

 

Gilt show

Rory Lambertsen of Tarkio, Missouri, showed her pigs at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, earning third in class with her Poland gilt and fifth in class with her Berkshire gilt.

 

Champion Simmental Cow/Calf

Keely Bredensteiner, a Tarkio FFA member, showed the Champion FFA Percentage Simmental Cow/Calf Pair at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, Missouri, Thursday, August 13, 2026. Helping Keely show the pair is Quin Staten, a Tarkio FFA member. Keely also showed the fifth in class Simmental heifer.

Quin Staten of Tarkio found success at the Missouri State Fair, showing the first in class and fifth in class spot gilts.

 

First time for Stepp at state

Macy Stepp of Tarkio showed sheep for the first time this year and made it to the Missouri State Fair. There, she showed the sixth in class wether, the 10th in class wether dam, and was 35th out of 100 carcass lambs.

 

Third in class

Both of Oscar Palmer’s pigs earned third in class in the Class 6 Berkshires and Class 4 Polands at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Oscar is from Rock Port.

 

Champion 4-H Lightweight Market Steer

Nash Schomburg and Scotch of Rock Port, Missouri, earned Champion 4-H Lightweight Market Steer at the Missouri State Fair.

 

Champion Educational Display

The Fairfax FFA Officer Team had the champion educational display at the Missouri State Fair for the second time. This display (pictured at right) focused on the benefits of joining FFA and ag classes through one of the three circles from the three circle model (Classroom/Instruction, SAE, and FFA/Leadership). This year, they chose to present information on the leadership side of FFA. They each gave information on how FFA has helped them become leaders in their home, school, and community. Their central theme was “United in Blue and Gold, Inspired by the Stars and Stripes.”
