The gym floor renovation at Fairfax R-3 has not been finished yet, so the East Atchison volleyball matches against North Nodaway on Tuesday, September 1, will be played at the Tarkio Activity Center (TAC). Games will begin at 5:30 p.m.

If you’ve been thinking about joining a bowling league, now is the perfect time! The Wednesday Night Gals Bowling League is looking for a few more ladies’ teams to join in the fun! An informational meeting will be held Wednesday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m. at River Rock Lanes in Rock Port, Missouri. The league starts at 6:00 p.m. September 9.

The 2026 T.M. Wharton Blue Jay Classic will be held Sunday, September 6, at the Rock Port Golf & Country Club. The four-person scramble is a fundraiser for the Rock Port High School Booster Club. Tee-off for the four person scramble is at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided by RPHS Dance Team (free will donation). Local businesses, clubs and organizations are invited to set up booths, games, and activities of all kinds for Rock Port’s Old Fashioned Saturday Night September 19. More game booths are needed. Please consider joining the fun by setting up a game or activity for the kids to play. Contact Betty Stoner at 660-787-0531 (call or text) for a registration form or find one on the Rock Port Chamber Facebook page. The fee for a booth is $10.00 and can be paid the night of the event. If you want the same spot as you have had before please let Betty know so she can reserve it for you. The spots will be done on a first come, first served basis. All registration forms need to be turned in by September 8.
