Graves-Chapple Research Center near Corning, Missouri, held an Ag Youth Day for area high schoolers Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Sergeant Shane Hux with the Missouri State Highway Patrol discusses the Seat Belt Convincer and the importance of wearing your seat belt with Fairfax, Missouri, students, at top. The students also had an opportunity to experience a crash at 5 miles per hour, demonstrated by Tarkio, Missouri, student Tucker Hurst, above.

The Rock Port Volunteer Fire Department showed off their grain bin extraction device to Mound City, Missouri, students, above top. The device is used when someone is surrounded by corn in a bin and unable to move and escape. Lily Lager from Rock Port, Missouri, is pictured above bottom demonstrating how the panels fit around the victim.
