The three branches (Rock Port, Tarkio, and Fairfax) of the Atchison County Library have planned a lot of fun activities.

September 17: Third Thursday. Storytime, crafts and activities for children ages 0-4 years old and their parents, at the Tarkio branch, 10:00 a.m. No registration needed.

September 18: Battle of the Books practice, at the Rock Port branch, 4:00 p.m.

September 21: Mahjong Lessons. Must be signed up, at the Rock Port branch, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

September 22: Pop into the Library at Tarkio. The first 20 people to renew their library card will receive a free popcorn from Stillwell’s Outdoor Krazy Korn (food vendor open to the public as well). “First 20 promotion” runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

September 28: Author Speaker and Book Signing Series with Virginia Ripple. Listen to Virginia share information about her books, at the Tarkio branch, 6:00 p.m.

September 29: Lego Night. Casual gathering for all ages, at the Rock Port branch, open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

October 6: Battle of the Books practice, at the Fairfax branch, 3:30 p.m.
