Liz Hunt and Bev Jones, representing the Rural Solar Initiative Foundation, were the guest speakers at the Tarkio Rotary Club on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Farmers and the Foundation will enter into a crop share agreement. The goal is to lower electrical costs for schools, hospitals and nonprofits in the area. Revenue will fund the foundation’s community impact efforts. There will soon be a solar farm north of Tarkio. (Submitted by Anita Sutter)
