Bill Danley, Rock Port, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 81, with his wife of 64 years by his side at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port.

Bill was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on January 2, 1945, to Truman and Marie (Alley) Danley. He spent his childhood in Sioux City, Iowa.

He married Jody Donelson on March 9, 1962. They had three children, Bill, Lynda, and Brenda. Bill began his working career at the Continental Egg Plant in Malvern, Iowa. He then spent his adult life as a husband, father and grandfather in Rock Port. He worked at Missouri Beef Packers. Bill later worked at Burke and Sons Lumber Company. His family’s favorite memories include many years of family reunions, camping at Mozingo Lake in Maryville, Missouri, and fishing trips on his boat, “Lady J.”

Bill’s passions in life were his family, adding to his many collectibles, and spending time at his home in Rock Port. Bill loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, collecting knives, trains, and Trump memorabilia.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by beloved wife, Jody; children, Bill and Tina Danley of Greeley, Colorado, Lynda Gfeller of Rock Port, and Brenda and Alan Fairweather of Friona, Texas; grandchildren, Katy and Ryan Martin, Jennifer Danley, Derek and Brandi Fairweather, Austin and Jessica Danley, and Staci and Edgar Guerrero; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Christopher, Rysie, Ryder, Reese, Kaden, Kenzi, Brinlee, Magnolia, Madden, Kyleigh, Kayleigh, and Xavier. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Richter of Nashville, Tennessee, and sister-in-law, Codi Merritt of St. Joseph, Missouri.

There are no scheduled memorial services. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Bill Danley Memorial Fund.
